2010 Location Poll Results
How we selected the Minneapolis, MN as the Mysterium 2010 City:
PLEASE BE SURE TO READ THIS ANNOUNCEMENT BEFORE CONTINUING, if you already haven’t.
First, we looked at the results of the question regarding ability to attend each, if Mysterium ended up there. As you can see below (first chart), all cities except for Dallas were tied, within a reasonable margin of error. From this question, we were able to determine the least number of people would be able to attend Mysterium if it were held in Dallas.
Next, we looked at the results of the City preference question. As you can see below (second chart), the top 3 cities were within 1% of each other – statistically too close to tell. We now had a smaller list of 3 possible cities.
Finally, from the top 3 cities, we set out on more heavily researching which would be the easiest, cheapest, and most fun to host Mysterium 2010 in. Additionally, the number of locals who had volunteered was a large factor in our decision. After researching, we chose Minneapolis, MN as the location for Mysterium 2010!
